Marianna Glykofridi is a transdisciplinary artist working with time, memory, and care. Her practice explores the tension between the ephemeral: sound, touch, presence, and the rigid forms that hold them.

She is interested in how objects become containers for meaning, allowing what is fleeting to remain, evolve, and be shared.

Her work leaves space for meaning to emerge through encounter, shaped by the people and moments around it. Imprints of Being (2025) is a multisensory sonic memory archive, part ornament, part living soundscape.

For three months, Marianna walked a repeated route around the workshop, recording its changing rhythms, from busy days to quieter moments, capturing footsteps, voices, machinery, and ambient life.

Encased in aluminium, the vessel responds to touch, allowing the soundscape to unfold through connection and recede with its release. It holds traces of the people and place, offering a way to imagine or remember the workshop through sound.
