You will learn how to use basic tools to transform thin sheet metal into quirky festive decorations that are entirely unique and personal using cold metalworking techniques.

About the Course

Whether you're hoping to go home with a beautiful handmade bauble to be placed pride of place on your Christmas Tree, a festive gift for a friend or family member, or simply a few unique decorations to add a touch of sparkle to your home during the dark winter months - there will be something for everyone to enjoy on our bauble making course!

Try your hand at combining thin copper and brass sheet to create a three dimensional pinecone, or experiment with making some festive foliage of your choice, all of which can be hung on the tree, scattered on the mantelpiece or used to decorate the dinner table.

After the course you will have the confidence and knowledge to carry out basic metalworking at home safely as a fun activity in the run up to Christmas if you so wish. 

Participants are welcome to bring some autumnal foliage and cones to use as a visual aid/inspiration if they wish, otherwise templates will be provided.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Please dress appropriately for metalwork, no trainers or shorts, we recommend sturdy shoes/boots and jeans or similar. We also recommend sturdy shoes/boots to be worn for woodwork.
